DAY TRAINING £775
Two half days. Maximum 15 persons.
First half is morning of interactive lectures in a meeting room (2-3hrs). In the afternoon at least 2 hours spent amongst the cows with checklists, rounded off with an hour’s discussion time.
LECTURE £350
Two 45-min presentations with a short break.
10-200 persons. A real eye opener! The audience really learns how to observe cows in a much better way with the aid of picture puzzles and video clips.
ADDITONAL INFORMATION
- Quoted price excludes VAT, but includes travel expenses up to the first 25 miles. Travel by car is 50p/mile after 25 miles. Overnight accommodation charged at cost. Minimum day rate is £550. Prices correct at June 2008.
- We operate using our own laptops and projectors for workshops and smaller lectures. Large venues must provide a wireless microphone and high quality projector.
- Presentations mainly consist of photos, so handouts are not provided. The quality CowSignals books can be purchased as reference materials for the courses.
- Farm visits: appropriate hygienic clothing must
be worn and biosecurity measures (disinfection)
be taken – we get up close and personal with
the cows! - The host farmer benefits from free on-farm advice specific to his/her farm, but an open-minded attitude is required.
- For the wrap up discussion, a warm room with coffee/tea/refreshments is highly recommended.
